The Blue Angel
Introduced by the Federal Government in the year 1978 to protect mankind and environment, it was in 1988 that chain saw oils were first awarded with the Blue Angel. KAJO was among the first three producers who were allowed to allocate their saw chain oils with the Blue Angel.
In the meantime the scope has been reviewed and tightened several times: KAJO has always met with the requirements! Products labelled with the Blue Angel – this is the way to actively contribute to the protection of the environment and to make for a better future.
EU Ecolabel
The EU Ecolabel is an international quality label, introduced in 1992 by the European Commission. It is recognized by any member state of the European Union as well as by Norway, Liechtenstein and Island. The European Ecolabel identifies
especially environmentally friendly products and is a further step towards the protection of the environment and health. The first product of product group 027 – the lubricants – which was awarded with the European Ecolabel was KAJO-Chain Saw Oil BIO 2050. Numerours products followed this one and will follow.
KWF – curatorship for forest operation and forest technics
For 60 years, the KWF analyses the development with regard to occupational health and safety, environmental protection and process engineering and makes this knowledge available for the public.
Work is effected with pratical approach, the focus is paid to safety, innovation and protection of the environment. Products are checked by the KWF with regard to their fitness for purpose – this test is part of the basis for award of the Blue Angel.
